QuickBooks Integration

RTS Portfolio Finance

An internal, read-only connection between QuickBooks Online and our own financial reporting. Private to Remote Technology Services and its affiliated companies — not offered to the public.

What this application does

RTS Portfolio Finance reads Profit & Loss figures from the QuickBooks Online companies we operate, so that period reporting across the portfolio can be produced from one place instead of by hand.

It runs on a schedule on a single company-controlled computer. There is no website to log in to, no mobile app, and no public sign-up — this page exists because Intuit requires every connected application to publish one.

What it reads

  • Company profile — the company name, used to confirm we are reading the right books
  • Profit & Loss reports for a requested date range

What it never does

  • It never writes. No invoice, bill, payment, customer or journal entry is ever created, changed or deleted. Every request method other than a read is rejected by the software itself
  • It does not read customer records, employee records, payroll detail, or bank and card numbers
  • It does not send QuickBooks data to any third party

Connecting a company

Authorization is performed once per QuickBooks company by an administrator of that company. QuickBooks Online scopes each authorization to a single company, so every company we operate is connected separately and can be disconnected separately.

Access can be revoked at any time from within QuickBooks, with no notice to us and no need to contact anyone. See the disconnect instructions.

Terms and privacy

Use of this application is governed by our end user licence agreement, and our handling of QuickBooks data is described in the privacy policy.
